Big Sur On Fire

Some years ago John McFeely talked me into training to be on the fire line. Occasionally, he'll need help getting an excavator or dozer in or out of a burn. I drove his pickup truck. Interesting part of the training was learning how to cover up with a piece of aluminum foil and let the fire pass over. "What ever you do, no matter how hot it gets, don't come out! It's hotter outside."

Tall People Can Skydive

Adam Corolla was working on something in Monterey a few years ago. They came to Skydive Monterey Bay for a tandem skydive. Steve 'Raff' Rafferty took John Salley on a tandem skydive. I took one of the crew. Like me my passenger was a nobody! Oh, Corolla didn't jump.
